21st Century Masterpiece.

It's even better than American Idiot. Yeah, it's THAT good. I'm only allowed 6000 characters so I'll keep it brief. Pros - Billie Joe Armstrong is in the best form of his career, lyrically, vocally and even as the leading axeman. He's firing on all cylinders. Mike Dirnt is playing bass with more prowess and conviction than ever. Tre Cool just keeps getting better and better on the skins. There is an intriguing story in the concept of the album. Plays out like an adventure. Hooks you in. Plenty of variety and experimentation, yet it always remains completely Green Day. They is bringing back the punk. There's no let up - always tight, always full throttle and always pushing the envelope. Confidence, passion, ambition, dedication. I'm just coming up with random fitting adjectives for the album now. Come on, EIGHTEEN tracks. TWENTY if you count the bonus ones! That's incredible. Cons: Ummm.... 'Nuff said. Purchase this album now!

Best Green Day album yet

This album is absolutely awesome. No complaints at all. Been waiting so long for this album, and I was extremely happy with it. 5 stars. ~Jacin

An excellent follow up to American Idiot

This is an excellent album - interesting lyrics and classic Green Day riffs and energy. Rolling Stone USA has given it a 4.5 star review, but the dopes at SMH gave it 2.5 stars - seriously, what were they expecting? Green Day are a pop-punk band, and what they have delivered is pop-punk at its best. Not to mention the excellent value that is this deluxe edition. If you want a rocking album, that sounds great and is good fun, then you will not be disappointed by this. It more than delivers the goods.

Out of all the post-Nirvana alternative bands to break into the pop mainstream, Green Day were second only to Pearl Jam in terms of influence. At their core, Green Day were simply punk revivalists who recharged the energy of speedy, catchy three-chord punk-pop songs. Though their music wasn't particularly innovative, they brought the sound of late-'70s punk to a new, younger generation with Dookie, their 1994 major-label debut. Dookie sold over ten million copies, paving the way for a string of multi-platinum...
