Rich in motif and complex development

Similar to the challenge of Chopin's Minute Waltz, the performer has to control the tempo and apply judicious, yet tasteful, rubato to successfully perform this masterpiece. This particular performance does this admirably and also manages to infuse Cage's work with new traceries of discordant resolutions reminiscent of Morton Feldman's forays into tinnitustic suspension. Not a piece for the weak hearted, but a rewarding challenge for the brave and naif. Listen to with adult supervision regardless of age.
