iTunes Review

Singer/bassist John Cooper leads his comrades through a set of ballad-heavy tracks filled with spiritual conflict and romantic anguish. Cooper’s throat-searing vocals drive home the desperation within “Forgiven,” “Monster,” and “Hero” (the latter featuring some equally urgent singing by drummer Jen Ledge). Though many of the tunes here are decidedly dark, “Awake and Alive” offers a God-centered battle cry as stirring as any Skillet has recorded.

Customer Reviews

Awake? Then buy this album!

Waited a long time for this one and I haven’t been disappointed. The album is littered with class, from the head-banger ‘Awake & Alive’ to the ballad ‘One day too late’ and to the otherworldly emotionally gritty ‘Never Surrender’, it all rocks. Skillet has indeed raised the bar with this effort, feeding off their fine form from Comatose and Collide. I am only worried about how they plan on topping this! Strong and moving album, FIVE-STARS!

Seven out of five!

Skillet's new album is perfect! If you're a fan, BUY IT! You won't be dissapointed. I love every song, especially 'Awake and Alive' Seven out of five!

Goes Beyond What Was Expected!

Yet again, Skillet fail to disappoint! Perfect, Ten out of Five. Easily. Could not have been happier with this album. Got it the day it came out, Listened to it almost daily, and still listening to it now. One of the best bands ever, hope they tour Australia one day soon.
