Excellent sophomore album

Jordin Sparks has created a great follow up to her first debut album. There are more catchy and upbeat songs like Walking On Snow, S.O.S (Let the Music Play) and powerful, moving ballads including the Ryan Tedder-produced Battlefield. Fans will definitely enjoy Jordon's new offering and I think new fans unfamiliar with Jordin will as well as the Deluxe Edition contains Tattoo and One Step At a Time from the first album.

Jordin Sparks achieves success again!!

May i just say that Jordin Sparks is amazing. Her voice is beautiful and has gained her a place as another powerful songstress, along with her peers, Beyonce & Mariah who have been in the industry alot longer, and have had several albums to build up a career. With two albums to her name, Jordin has achieved a huge fan following and her music is that off beauty and class. It's hard to imagine that she is an ex American Idol winner, it has been proven that being an idol winner doesn't grant you immediate success. Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks are the only Idols who have made it into the music charts around the world and into the hearts of millions. Jordin's first album was a shock, i had only herd Tattoo which i really liked and thought that i should give her album a try. I bought it and was pleasantly suprised. Jordin's first album was that of a superstar. Her new album Battlefield, had a promising lead single of the same name, and i was destined to buy this album as i am a big Sparks fan. WOW, was i blown away, this album is an album that any singer would be proud off, It has some beautiful ballads. Walking on Snow, Don't Let It Go To Your Head, Battlefield, It Takes More, No Parade, Let It Rain, Emergency 911, Was I The Only One, Faith and The Cure are all amazing and i wouldn't wish them to be any different then to how they have been produced. Watch You Go and S.O.S are also very good songs that i will listen to regularly, but they are the weakest in my opinion on the album. Jordin is amazingly talented and has the vocal range to sing songs off power along with fragile emotion. Jordin has a rightfully gained a huge fan, with an album like this, like you couldn't love her.

Why included 2 songs that are on the first album, Tattoo and One step at a time. What is the point of rereleasing them so people can spend money buying a song they already have. The album sounds like everyone else unfortunately. I loved her first album in made her original but now she has just become like everyone else and soon will be forgotten. Kelly Clarkson is so much better and atleast grows with every album. This is a massive confusion of what music she wants to be singing. Very dissapointed, but that is why most Idol's dont succeed

Jordin Sparks may have been the youngest American Idol when she won the title on the reality show's sixth season, but the Glendale, Arizona resident had already packed plenty of accomplishments into 17 years. The daughter of Phillippi Sparks, former left cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys and former defensive back for the New York Giants, Sparks had no formal vocal training, but showed a flair for singing while still a toddler and was drawn to performing of all kinds at an early age.
