'.... straight out of the top drawer.'

My admiration for Cary Brothers started when I purchased the Garden State soundtrack. Straight out of the top drawer, 'Blue Eyes' is undoubtably the best track on the album. Honestly, I dont think much of Cary Brothers' EP's but this album is up there as one of my favourite of all time. It's a solid mix of rock and alternative, sort of a Snow Patrol meets Damien Rice. I could truefully say it is back to back quality, but my favourite track would have to be 'The Glass Parade'. I have since recommended this album to some friends and I would expect the same comments from them. A must buy!

Hopefully more people listen to this...

This may not be the most uplifting music, but it is a very powerful, reflective piece of art. Reminds me a lot of Snow Patrol, if people bothered to listen to songs that weren't just on Grey's Anatomy or TV, they would realise there is heaps of good music out there like this. While some tracks do blend a bit into each other...there are some stand outs to me, namely 'Ride', 'Loneliest Girl in the World' and the touching closer 'Precious Lie'.

A Great Band

This band sounds alot like Snow Patrol, but are capapble of producing more than than one sounds, which is great. My favourite songs so far are 'the last one' ,'honestly' and of course, 'blue eyes', which i found via the garden state soundtrack. a great band : D

Born in 1974 to a watercolorist mother and surgeon father, Brothers eschewed the sounds of his native Nashville in favor of Britpop artists like the Cure and the Smiths. Brothers attended college at Northwestern University in the early '90s, where he met Zach Braff, the writer,...
