Album Review

The Lion’s Roar is the second album from Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit, whose dreamy vocal harmonies have seen them compared to the likes of Fleet Foxes and Joanna Newsom. Sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg are backed by a far grander band than on their 2010 debut full-length The Big Black & the Blue, resulting in a spell-binding collection of songs that include the single and title track., Rovi

Customer Reviews

Female 'Mumford & Sons'?

Swedish sisters 21yrs & 18yrs singing Americana folk music, now that's different. Great voices, Great harmonies. Think female 'Mumford & Sons'. Conor Oberst from 'Bright Eyes' fame makes an appearance on the final track. Definitely worth a listen for those liking this genre.

Old school harmonies

Hate country music, rhinestones or checked shirts and moleskins make me gag, but beautiful harmonies don't lie....gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.

It's good sunday music

It's like these girls listen to a lot of simon and garfunkel, took all the good bits and made some great relevant songs.
