I heard Rumers single 'Slow' and bought it straight away. I was immediately drawn to her beautiful voice! I have to ask...has anybody told you that you sound SO much like Karen Carpenter? Play 'This Masquerade' and then listen to some of this album and it's uncanny!! I heard Rumer perform P.F Sloan on TV and immediately bought this album. Its so refreshing to hear such a rich, melodic voice in amongst the 'belters' like Adele and Duffy. If you want a great Sunday album, you HAVE to buy this!

Fantastic cover album.

Many a cover album has often sounded far too similar to the songs being covered. Granted it must be challenging to change up a classic song, especially if the artist holds it so reverently. The Artist known as Rumer, has done an amazing job creating her own beautiful sound, so some well written songs of a bygone era. Absolutely love Sara Smile.

P.S. regarding a previous reviewer: when played to a friend of mine, he immediately mentioned Karen Carpenter, so your on the money there. Such soothing and reflective voices.
