Bullet and a Target

This poetically charged song, with a variety of levels from the hip beat to the enchanting sound of the Zulu choir, brings Australian Hip Hop to a new and exciting level. With the words coming from experiences gathered by the group in South Africa there is a powerful message that comes through the song. With Bliss, eso and DJ ism working together on the School4Schools program, the song is an exciting fresh new hit.

About time

Every now and then Australian music takes a turn towards a new way of doing things. It's about time Aussie hip hop got real and talked about stuff that really matters to the world. I'm not a huge fan of hip hop that fantasises about American gangsters, but these guys have really gone out on a limb and witnessed, experienced and written in response to stuff that they have seen. It's anthem music and I think it will be played on the radio and take Bliss 'n Eso to the forefront of Aussie hip hop.

We want more

Met these guys as part of the Zulu Choir during their tour of Sydney last year. Not only great music but for a great cause. Come On Australia buy this album. Guys...keep singing - we want more of this music.

Straddling the line between the two are Bliss N Eso. Originally known as Bliss N Esoterikizm, a name that led to problems with pronunciation among their fans, the group consists of MCs Bliss (Johnathan Notley) and Eso (Max MacKinnon), as well as DJ Izm (Tarik Ejjamai). The two rappers can be easily identified on their records by the difference...
