killer..

Phrase has definitely redefined oz hip hop with this album - groundbreaking stuff - amazing lyrics, rad production and great collabs - every track is a killer, esp burn it down, thats my fave

Essential add..

Melbourne based rapper Phrase has been in the local rap scene for years now, and continues to deliver the goods. This new album breaks new ground but still retains Phrase's hard hitting lyrics over hard hitting beats. A long time in the making has made this an absolute gem and a must-have release for hip hop fans. The wait has been worth it.

all guts and heart...

this is a phenomenal album, i might even call it early for my album of the year. not only is it full of solid, funky and unstoppable beats and rhymes, but the emotion that pours from ever track is rare, unexpected, and overwhelmingly welcome. big phrase pours his heart and soul into every word on this album, and that heart pours straight outta the speakers and into your brain. old mate's laconic style, carefree accentuation and insightful pop culture references blow away any pre-conceived ideas you might have about aussie hip-hop. stand out tracks include skylight, day you went away, and chains - but really, there are no low moments on this album. 10 outta 10.
