12 Songs, 40 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Tasmanian trio The Wolfe Brothers were eager to get outside their comfort zone for their fourth album, so they left their electric guitars at home to focus on fuller harmonies and heavier hooks. The result, Country Heart, is a not-quite-crossover album of polished, lush tunes about living life to the fullest. “Ain’t Seen It Yet” captures their new direction, with simpler arrangements, melodic guitar riffs, and a rich chorus of whoa-oh-ohs that would erupt in a stadium crowd. Don’t miss “Storm Rollin In” for a glimpse at how the band sprinkles synths into a song about a fiery romance.

Sensational!

A great new sound that admittedly is a departure from what we’ve come to expect from the Wolfe Bros., but this is as good as country music in Australia gets. Wonderful songwriting.
