After all the drip-feed information about David Draiman's new project, to say that I was relieved to hear 'Vilify' was an understatement. With the rather 'light' guitar riff opening, I did not expect what was to come next. Vilify lived up to my expectation of being a digital assault on the senses, with the 80s-style digital touches complementing the huge guitars and pulsating percussion, akin to anything KMFDM or Nine Inch Nails have on their greatest hits catalog. If this is a taste of the monster that Device will be, then plug me in and take me further down the rabbit hole


Vilify has allayed my fears that David would attempt to subdue this album like so many other artists who take on side projects. Im glad that, so far, Device seems to be resemblant of Disturbed. Viilify lured me in with its catchy rythm and Davids growling voice. So far so good.
