Dreams - Exactly That!

This is one of the best albums I've bought. It is pure rock genius and it hits you right in the heart. It starts off with the sounds of rain hitting a roof, which is perfect. Following the sounds of an alarm, which is slightly startling, you are struck by the dreamy sounds of the hugely popular 'It's Too Late'. The album finishes off with the epic 'Everyone (Moving On)', which is an absolutely beautiful song to go out on. The song starts off with the sounds of a beating heart, which is again symbolic of the feeling you get when listening to this album. Other songs worth mentioning include 'The Unavoidable Thing Between Us', which is simply awesome, 'Without Your Smile' and of course the other three singles, 'For One Day', 'Come To Nothing' and 'Dreams Call Out To Me', the last of which being my favourite track. If you are unsure, then go right ahead and purchase this album. You will not be sorry.

Instant Classic

This album is a classic in it's own time. I rate this album similar to Ten by Pearl Jam and OK Computer by Radiohead in terms of it's timeless feel and long term appeal. This one really is a keeper - Evermore have outdone themselves with their debut album. If the old school sound of Pink Floyd and the Beatles with a modern kick would get you excited then 'Dreams' is for you! There is a real kiwi pub music influence here too (Exponents, Dave Dobbyn). This fresh music has got me fired up! Good on ya Evermore!

These guys are great and are a solid first purchase on the Aus IMS. Interesting that we have claimed these guys also! Are they not Kiwis?

Weaned on their parents' record collection (the band's name originates with the classic Led Zeppelin ballad "The Battle of Evermore"), the Fielding-born Humes played music throughout their adolescence, first collaborating under the Evermore aegis in 1999. A year later, they claimed top honors in the annual Kiwi high school band competition Rock Quest, channeling...
