Beautiful but slightly heartbreaking

Great music, and beautiful melodies. But it's all so sad. Especially songs like "resilience" and "the letter that never came". That being said, it was also very touching. Some, more upbeat songs, include "taken by supreeze", and - a must listen for all, "Loverly Spring" - he he he... Enjoy!

Dark, haunting brilliance!

Thomas Newman always creates such wonderfully rich music, and this soundtrack has so many beautiful and delicate moments. He never fails to perfectly capture and accentuate the mood of the film, building each atmosphere so carefully. Lemony Snicket is a dark film, but Newman's music has so many shades of light amongst the dark, it makes for a refreshing and dynamic listen. Some favourites are: Loverly Spring, VFD, Verisimilitude & Regarding The Incredibly Deadly Viper.

Not so bad

I like the melodies in all the songs but my fav is drive away (end title)
