iTunes Review

Making Mirrors is Gotye's eclectic-but-polished exploration of modern pop possibilities. Among songwriter/bandleader Wally De Backer's fusions are the electro reggae of “State of the Art”, the Motown garage rock of “I Feel Better” and hushed, waltzing trip-hop of “Smoke and Mirrors”. “Somebody That I Used To Know” has one of the most persuasive melodies of the last 20 years, but the entire album runs with seamless continuity, right to the final pensive notes of “Bronte”.

Worth the wait!!!!

Gotye got my attention the very first time I heard him on Tripplej. Interesting sounds, distinctive voice and impeccable production.
Been waiting for this album for ages with tasty snippets being given good air time. Just can't explain how good this album is, everything that I hoped for. I hope Gotye has huge success with it.

Great Album...

Great Album. Every song has something different with that distinct voice. I'm just hoping it dosn't go down the same path as Radiohead with this huge exposure to the Mainstream.

Masterpiece. Full stop!

Dude you are truly a genius. I adore this album. Bronte is such a beautiful song. It makes grown men cry. I should know. Top marks Wally.

Like Drawing Blood followed two years later, notching the cult hit "Learnalilgivinanlovin" and earning...
