iTunes Review

Using just about every imaginable musical format—from albums and extended dance floor singles to ballet and film scores—the Pet Shop Boys have spent three decades turning out lavish pop compositions of unfailingly high quality. The UK duo’s 12th studio album, Electric, is a demonstration of their lasting relevance as pop artists. Produced by Stuart Price (Madonna’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, The Killers’ Day & Age), it features focused pop hooks, thundering rave-ups and arching melodies that stand among the best in their catalogue. It also has one of the most surprising offerings in the band’s history—a dazzling cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “The Last to Die”.

Wonderful dance time!

Simply a sublime dance charged masterpiece from the masters of the genre. “Love Is A Bourgeois Construct” - silly name but amazing storming ear worm of a track. An album with a mix of styles that just keeps coming up for repeated listening. Brilliant!

I'd love to get it on vinyl too. This album will be awesome.

Simply brilliant. Now all we need is a tour!
Thursday featuring Example is a classic. Bolshy sounds like a track that could have made the Introspective album.
Anyone who has liked a Stuart Price album of the past must purchase this.

Always remaining one step ahead of their contemporaries, the British duo navigated the constantly shifting landscape of modern dance-pop with rare grace and intelligence, moving easily from disco to house to techno with their own distinctive...
