EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! - The hot truth.

The Hot Lies are clearly demonstrating its progression to becoming one of Australia's most highly regarded bands. However their new single may send a shiver of fear throughout the underground music lovers. It is clear that this is their first step towards a mainstream focus within the Australian music scene. Nevertheless it is definetly a band worth checking out! The Hot Lies have once again created a single that was worth each fan's patience. However it is fair to say that each listener would enjoy at least one album with over 10 songs from them.

bring on the album...

If this is the first taste, the album is going to be addictive. Emergency is full of hooks and leaves the listener wanting more and more. The B-sides fill out the package without overshadowing the awesomeness that is the first single. It's anthemic and ambitious and showcases a new level of musicianship for these upcoming Aussies.

Great single

a great single, however ghosts & mirrors isnt as good as the full band. but Emergency! Emergency! is a great song. and Time After Time sounds 10 times better than the original

Australian national radio broadcaster Triple J took an interest in the country's burgeoning pop-punk scene at exactly the right time for Hot Lies. Formed in the beginning of 2004, only two months later the Adelaide band heard their EP of demos being played by the station. The original lineup of Pete Wood on vocals, Josh Delsar on lead guitar, Benjamin Pix on rhythm guitar, Leaton Rose on bass, and Jared Brown on drums was shaken up when Delsar left in 2006.
