Otherworldly

My favourite album by a long stretch. The review is right, it's brief but there's not a wasted note. A nautical theme exists throughout which lends it an otherworldly feel I can't quite articulate but it gives the album a cohesion Martin Phillipps never quite achieved before or since. The lyrics are sublime - tracks like Heavenly Pop Hit might seem twee and throwaway but it's an illusion. Don't Be - Memory stops me dead in my tracks every time. A special, special album.
