Best of Both.

I have listened to Conditions since they started and have loved their work so far and I have been very excited for this album and it hasn't let me down. It's a real display of their old work in the first half of the album and in the second half it's a new step in the style of Conditions music. From Track 1 to Track 6 it's kind of a recap of their old work; pure modern rock with intense drums and heavy guitar lines. "Make Them Remember" and "Better Life" are my personal favourites. The second half of the album, Track 7 onward, is my favourite part. "Comfort Far Away" is my favourite song, being a beautiful ballad like track. Conditions pull it off very well especially since they haven't done anything like it before; it replaces a distorted electric with an acoustic guitar and drums keep it at a level that just makes it sit perfectly. "The Color 21" is something I feel could be so much more than the meagre 52 seconds it is. It could have been an epic instrumental track yet it ends with you wanting more than just the anti-climax of an amazing build up. "Illuminati" has always been to me like a new step for Conditions and to finish with it is a perfect idea. All in all "Fluorescent Youth" is a great album of new and old Conditions which can hopefully be transferred into their next album as an even better merging of the two different forms of music is presents.

As good as ever

Please keep writing and creating. That's all.

This band really surprised me I wasn't expecting such meaning into songs, and how their songs are constructed really shows the talent that this band has, ever since I got this album and full of war I haven't stopped listening to them. These guys are worth for you to take the time and listen and definitely worth your money

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s

Formed in late 2006, Conditions assembled their lineup from the ashes of several Virginia-based emo groups, including Race the Sun, Motion Picture Demise, and Scarlet. The band set up shop in Richmond and, several months after its formation, decamped to Baltimore to record demo material with producer Paul Leavitt. An appearance at the 2007 Bamboozle Festival helped spread the band's profile, as did a stint with the Vans Warped Tour later that year. Vocalist Brandon Roundtree, drummer Ryan Tinsley,...
