iTunes Review

When 50 Cent’s reputation as a hustler turned death-defying statistic threatened to overshadow his ability as a rhymer, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ buried the notion under a hail of neck-snapping tracks overseen by Dr. Dre and Eminem. Fiddy dissects street game with the coolness of a Teflon don under cross-examination. His hook game is extra sharp—“In da Club”, “What Up Gangsta”, “P.I.M.P.” and “21 Questions” stick in the brain long after the last note clears. Get Rich or Die Tryin’ made 50 a star and put New York hardcore rap back into focus.

50 cent

hey all you 50cent fans this is the greatest album to bye except if you don't like to much swaring this is not your exact album try britney spears if you not like swearing. this album is my favourite album because he is my uncle so to all you 50cent fans he the greatest am i rite or am i rite.

Fantastic debut album

Excellent album for any fan of hip-hop/rap. Beats are tight and Fiddy's lyrical skills are top notch. Could probably feature the G-Unit crew less, but still a must have.

Not a classic, but a good effort

Good, but extremely overrated. Hyped up to the maximum, when I listened to it it just wasn't a classic like everyone says it is. On the other hand, there are 3 singles that will always get the party started and Eminem features that will attract many hip hop fans. Overall a solid debut, but nothing compared to the legends of rap.

Though he would later struggle with the nature of his fame as well as market expectations, 50 Cent endured substantial obstacles throughout his young yet remarkably dramatic life before becoming the most discussed figure in rap, if not pop music in general, circa 2003. Following an unsuccessful late-'90s run at mainstream success (foiled by an attempt on his life in 2000) and a successful run on the New York mixtape circuit (driven by his early-2000s bout with Ja Rule), Eminem signed 50 Cent to a...
