Editors’ Notes

The band’s gift for soaring melodies is evident throughout Ghost Stories—particularly on the magnetic first single, “Magic.” Chris Martin’s heart-rending falsetto floats along in a haze of synth-washed ambience (as on the entrancing Kid A–influenced “Midnight”) or sparely accompanied by acoustic instruments (“Oceans,” “O”). Customer Reviews

Really lovely new style

They’ve done something far more interesting than just “go back to the sounds of first two albums”, that so many fans pleaded for. This new direction retains the synthy aspects of Mylo Xyloto, but it’s less eager-to-please, less poppy, and more complex rhythmically and lyrically. Really funky new sounds guys, love it to bits. Totally where you needed to go after the fifth LP.

COLDPLAY

I've just listened to the lead single "Magic" and it certainly sounds like another amazing release from the bands. The album charts better watch out, this new material from Coldplay is on the way!

LOOKS AMAZING

Midnight & Magic are both fantastic songs. This is gonna be a great album.
