iTunes Review

The singular phrasing and manic yowls of Isaac Brock are here in abundance, as are turn-on-a-dime melodies, compelling lyrics, and inventive rhythms. But Good News also expands on the skeletal urgency of earlier albums to include slurring, stomping horns (supplied by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band), banjo, violin, and keyboards. It all comes together as an imaginative masterpiece by a rock band with wild-hearted vision.

Titles are pretentious

Fantastic album, plays especially well on roadtrips as it doesn't rely on quiet or overly complex beats to sound good.

Gritty, love it

Tracks like Dancehall, Devils workday are the highlights to name a few. Taking more risks, the horn intro is the perfect welcoming mat for this gem of an album.

Hahaha. Itunes.

Love the album, but i didn't buy it on itunes. I was just marvelling at itunes stingyness in trying to get $1.70 out of the horn intro. Marvellous.
Highlight for me is definately Satin in a Coffin, the best song to listen to on a school-bus while gazing out the window in awe

Modest Mouse were founded in 1993 by guitarist and vocalist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy,...
