Album Review

Not quite as good as 1989's Alexandria, and still well outclassed by his six albums as the leader of the Sound, but still very inspired work. Songcraft is a lost art, but Borland's always had it, and his lush, pretty, full-bodied backing tracks always bring out the best in his material. Brittle Heaven has 14 songs — one hour of finely woven tapestry, of gorgeous music.
