Album Review

This is the second album by Locanda Delle Fate,its first in 22 years. The group spent nearly 500 hours in a studio over a two-year period putting Homo Homini Lupus together. The result is progressive rock with overtones of jazz. Lyrically, the themes range from love to war to human wickedness, including one song about the Yugoslavian war, and one about the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. The booklet contains full lyrics in Italian, English, and Spanish.

Initially, the band was a trio formed by Boero, Mazzoglio, and Gardino with some influence from Emerson, Lake & Palmer, but more classic. Then, Vevey and Gaviglio joined the band and they spent two years playing and composing songs for an album. So, with everything almost ready, the band invited vocalist Basso.
