It's ok but alas no avalanche 2

While avalanche is a complete work, Hospital music is much more of a patchwork. I expected this to grow on me with repeat listens but it never really did. "Moon over marin" is the best track in my opinion, a slow moving song which feels like a nightime beach stroll. The rest of the tracks are alas not as moving.

Avalanche was just about the best album ever in the history of rock and this is not as polished sound wise at that, but musically and lyrically it is right up there. Rooted in Good's emotional problems it is no easy listen, but continued effort will reward the listener with a complex and mature body of work. I don't go much on the covers here as they seem out of place with his own compositions. The best tracks I think are Champions of Nothing, Born Losers, Odette and I'm A Window.
