wonderful

I am a huge fan of Harry Manx, I love that his albums are all similar but subtly different. This one is excellent, the niraj chag influenced Indian beats on the first track are excellent. Another wonderfully original album from a master at the peak of his game.

To be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed.I've recently got Jubilee and Road Ragas and love them both to bits but listening to this I'm thinking of guys like Jack Johnson who blow everyone away with their first album and then lose their edge. Don't get me wrong, it's still good music, but there's nothing that jumps out and grabs you and says " this guy's special"!! I'm actually seeing Harry live for the first time in a couple of weeks and was really looking forward to it - hope I won't be disappointed??
