iTunes Review

It must be a badge of honour to have one of your songs poked fun at by Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie. The second Flight of the Conchords album features scalpel-sharp parodies of The Black Eyed Peas (“Sugalumps”), R. Kelly (“We’re Both In Love With a Sexy Lady”) and The Police (“You Don’t Have to Be a Prostitute”) that still work without any reference to the source material. And it’s all done with love: Their enduring affection for posturing rappers is clear on "Too Many Dicks (On the Dance Floor)", the sad tale of a club populated entirely by frustrated men.

Flight Of The Conchords consists of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement and let me tell they are two hilariously funny men. This album proves not only their comedic talent but also their musical talent. All songs are from their self titled TV show Flight Of The Conchords which is just as amazing. My personal favourites would have to be We're Both In Love With A Sexy Lady, I Told You I Was Freaky, Carol Brown & Petrov Yelena And Me :)

I Told You I Was Freaky

This is a great new album from Flight of the Conchords. Standout songs are You Don't Have To Be A Prostitute, Friends and Petrov, Yelyena and Me. The only two things wrong with this album are: 1: all of the songs except for 2 are under 3 minutes. 2: it is way too sexual as opposed to their debut. But is an all round good album.

It can't get any better than this. My favo songs are Hurt Feelings, Carol Brown, Sugalumps and I Told You I Was Freaky! :)

Flight of the Conchords, New Zealand's self-proclaimed "fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo a cappella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo," first took shape in Wellington. Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement (musician/funnyman and funnyman/musician, respectively) started crafting their unique, two-man comedy mélange in 1998, while the two were living together as college roommates. Overcome by a dream in which a V formation of Gibson Flying Vs resembled a gaggle of Concorde airplanes, the two christened...
