I'm Feeling It

'Twelve Stops and Home' is the brilliant debut from new pop maestros, The Feeling. Well-crafted, thoughtful songs are the staple on this record with layered harmonies which would melt the steeliest of hearts. Right from the get-go you know you're in for a treat with the enrgetic opener 'I Want You Now' showing that the poms are still the best exponents of pop music. The magnificent 'Sewn' is the standout track with such clever lyrics as "you've got my heart in a headlock" accompanying an honest and stirring piece of music. The comparisons to ELO are well-founded and I even sensed a McCartney-esque vocal on most tracks, but The Feeling with their piano-laden ditties are breaking new ground, calling upon various influences and yet producing an original and exciting sound. This record won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you appreciate the art of writing a pop song, this is for you. I'm feeling it, I hope you do too!

LOVE! love love.

totally awesome. couldn't get any better. i'm so in love with this c.d and sewn is the best song ever. rock on. peace out x x

Melodies that hook in your head, clever arrangements; derivative but fresh at the same time! Grows on you with every listen...after countless plays, I'm still not sick of it. "Strange" is particularly good though there isn't a dud track on the album. Saw them live recently and they didn't disappoint - they reproduced the lush sound and energy with ease and had an initially disinterested crowd clapping their hands in the air by gig's end. Will pick up fans by word of mouth; definite candidate for Album of the Year!
