Mariah = E=mc2= definitely a beautiful sequel.

The album is a rainbow of melodies and hard RnB beats that would make rappers green with envy. A little over produced, but people say that about her first album (self titled Mariah Carey) and there are many fantastic tracks on her first album! However it does not take away from the songwriting skills of Mariah. As seen via American idol series 7 (where Mariah was the mentor) we know her songwriting skills can stand the test of time. Migrate is the stand out hit, along with Touch My Body, Bye Bye, I'm that Chick and I stay in love. O.O.C (out of control) reminds me of Zhane/Jennifer Lopez type dance groove hit. In the track Side effects - we see a Mariah we have never seen before via her songwriting. Have a listen to it and its very insightful to her early years. The tracks "I wish you well" and "for the record" are very appealing to her oldskool fans in my opinion. This is definitely E=mc2, and it does not at all sound like left overs from Emancipation of Mimi, but more a continuation, a beautiful sequel to Emancipation of Mimi. I would love to have seen these two albums come out as a double CD. I believe this album has an excellent potential to give Mariah another possible three number #1 Hits. I recommend this album but if your interest in Mariah has faded overtime or you have "outgrown" her still give it a try as it will grow on you. This album is definitely up there with my all time favourites. I have been a Mariah fan since day one and people have got to understand that the same songwriting formula that made her famous 20 years ago does not work these days. She is adapting to what the trend is in the current state of RNB/POP But also be creative, orginal and innovative. Mariah is trying to expand her fan base aswell as retain her old fans. Artists have to change to still be popular, we even seen this via Madonna aswell and that is what makes these artists still sell records (and awesome marketing & PR activities). In this album, Mariah reminds us that she is a musical genius.

From the get go this album knocks you out coz its full of hot beats , slow jams and mid tempos. Mariah proves that aint no other in the game like her with hot club bangers "Migrate" ft man of the moment T-Pain to heartfelt ballads like 2nd single "Bye Bye". This is packed full of hits and if you have ever been a fan of Mariah and/or still are then you will love this coz its the old school ariah mixed with the new. Just press play and enjoy no need to use the skip button.

Possibly The Strongest Album Of Her Career!

From the opening falsetto of "Migrate" through to the gospel "I Wish You Well", Mariah proves that she is a true professional. She not only reaches notes that could make other contemporary female singers want to retire and go home, but she manages to write some of the catchiest hooks and at the same time remain relevent and confessional. That is a major artistic feat and should not be underestimated. Most artists struggle to get to their 3rd album and remain relevent. She is now 19 years into her career and now releasing her 15th official album, with an 18th #1 Touch My Body. While Touch My Body is a VERY subtle flavour of where this album goes, it has suprisingly already proven it's worth by becoming her 18th #1. But MC should be very excited to see what some of the key tracks on the album could potentially do. Migrate is a sure fire hit, along with Bye Bye. Other hit singles and key standout tracks are I'm That Chick, Love Story, I'll Be Loving You Long Time, and For The Record. MC proves that Gospel is still a prominant part of her music (we will hopefully one day get a complete gospel album) - and I Wish You Well - proves that MC is a master-crafstman of writing deep and poignant lyrics despite critics focusing on her fun and fluffy lyrics of some of her more commerical tracks. This is a well designed and almost flawless collection, that could in 1 year, read as a mini Greatest Hits in itself. Who could think that MC could top Emancipation?

The best-selling female performer of the 1990s and one of the most popular artists through the 2010s, Mariah Carey rose to superstardom on the strength of her stunning five-octave voice. An elastic talent who moved easily from glossy ballads to hip-hop-inspired dance-pop, she earned frequent comparison to rivals Whitney Houston and Celine Dion, but did them both one better by co-writing almost all her material. Like all artists with lengthy periods in the mainstream spotlight, Carey experienced creative...
