Delta Goodrem’s 2012 musical journey is also a celebratory and emotionally honest look at her life thus far. Four albums in and she’s rarely sounded so joyous as she does on “Sitting on Top of the World”. This tune is a particular counterpoint to “Wish You Were Here”, which strips away everything save for piano and strings in order to speak softly of a lost friend. Most of the songs here were crafted on a 12-string acoustic guitar, which gives a solid backbone to her phenomenal vocal performances.
