Album Review

Compiled in the mid-'90s, this 22-track collection gathers together the best and brightest of Michael Jackson's early work in the Jackson 5. Ubiquitous singles like "I Want You Back" and "The Love You Save" showcase the unbridled mirth and playfulness the band excelled at, and lesser known hits like "Rockin' Robin" or the proto-disco soul of "Lookin' Through the Windows" give a more rounded perspective of the band's scope. The collection also includes a few unfortunate remixes from the late '80s and mid-'90s, but these missteps are thankfully tucked away near the end of the playlist.
