Album Review

On King Kong, Boyz N Da Hood member Gorilla Zoe combines the good-time Atlanta attitude of his home boy Ludacris with the slick, techno-throb of club kings like Rick Ross. This means cuts like “Crazy,” “Nasty,” and “Party Over Here” all deliver on the poppin’ bottles promise of their titles, and if you DJ or dance in a strip club, you know about half these cuts by heart. No surprise, then, that Lil Jon’s spirited “Yeah”’s help make “Twisted” a key cut, or that the title track is a big, attractive monster with a suitably banging beat from producer Drumma Boy. Add the loopy, light single “What’s Goin’ On” and King Kong is the kind of album weekends were made for, and with more than its fair share of highlights, don’t expect to care much once Monday rolls around.

Gorilla Zoe is similar to Yo Gotti and sort of Gucci Mane, which means that fans of those rappers will like this album. I for one, am not a great fan of Gorilla Zoe but he does have some bangers but nothing really new going on here.

Not bad

I honestly had no idea tht this was coming out today. I new it was in the works but had little to no idea of when it was coming out. In fact i checked wikipedia the other day to see if there was a release date and there was noting. Still the album is here, I would not say that it is as good as his last two. However, the beats are good the lyrics are about what you would expect from the average Southern rapper and the guest line up is quite good if you like them. Still Bad Boy really did drop the ball on this one cause I had seen no hype for this album. its just like T.I. album last year No Mercy, I saw very little hype with that one as well.

Flo Rida's twin

Its not '08' fans, get a new flow.

Check out Bad Meets Evil for real hip hop!

Gorilla Zoe is an Atlanta rapper with a sound similar to Young Jeezy -- whom he replaced in the Bad Boy group Boyz n da Hood -- with his raspy voice, slow flow, simple rhymes, and cocaine-centric lyrical focus. Gorilla Zoe's first taste of commercial success came with "Coffee Shop," a 2007 hit by Bad Boy labelmate Yung Joc. His debut single as a solo artist, "Hood Nigga," followed shortly thereafter, along with the accompanying debut album Welcome to the Zoo. Gorilla Zoe's first album as Jeezy's...
