Customer Reviews

It is about time that itunes put Taking Back Sunday onto it's list. This band is the GREATEST and i mean GREATEST band possbily of my whole lifetime. Admittedly, Tell All your Friends was a better album, but this album is also amazing. Taking Back Sunday, cannot possibly do anything wrong. Their lyrics are perfect, the melodies utterly squish and it is the type of album that you will listen to again and again, and sing too for ages. Personally (possibly a tad biased on my behalf) i think that everyone should own this album. If you don't want to, that is up to you. Loveable tracks, "Liar" "My Blue Heaven" "Miami" "I Let You Live" (and the rest of them are worth listening to also.)

Good Effort

Louder Now takes the group's classic ethos of intertwining vocals and hardcore meets-rock-meets pop to an even more enticing level. The bands sound is still relatively similar to their previous albums but this time a bit heavier in places. Louder Now is definitely a step forward for Taking Back Sunday. It seems like they simply dismissed their previous, more "emo-ish", depressing sound and replaced it with a more pure, genuine rock sound. This CD, in my opinion, has been Taking Back Sunday's best effort. Although fans may ridicule it, saying it won't ever live up to "Tell All Your Friends", I believe that their musicianship and overall talent as a band has grown. The most impressive songs on the album, in my opinoin, are ones like twenty-twenty sugey and MakeDamSure

I only just heard of these guys and i decided i would give them a lisen and THEY R AWSOME...i found myself singing along to songs strait after I first heard them! Best tracks are...What's it feel like to be a ghost, Liar, Makedamsure and My Blue Heaven.

Formed in 1999 in Amityville, New York, Taking Back Sunday modeled their interpretation of melodic hardcore after bands like Lifetime, Endpoint, and Sunny Day Real Estate, as well as guitarist Ed Reyes' emo outfit the Movielife. After the release of a five-song demo and a year's worth of touring (including shows with At the Drive-In and Alkaline Trio), Taking Back Sunday signed to Victory Records and entered New Jersey's Big Blue Meanie Recording Studios alongside producer Sal Villanueva and engineer...
