iTunes Review

The Kings of ‘80s heavy metal release their first-ever live album and it’s packed with just about every song that made them a household name. Def Lep were known as an impeccable studio band who labored for months to perfect each track. Yet this live album proves the band can reproduce it on stage. Songs from High ‘n’ Dry, Pyromania, Hysteria, Adrenalize and Songs From the Sparkle Lounge combine for a magical force. “Bringing On the Heartbreak” proves everyone in the audience knows the song from beginning to end. David Essex’s spooky tune “Rock On” retains its Def Lep flavor. Singer Joe Elliot brings his bloodcurdling howl for “Foolin’,” “Too Late for Love,” “Rock of Ages” and “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” The album finishes with three new studio tracks. “Kings of the World” is a powerful, dynamic tune centered at the piano before building to its climax. “It’s All About Believin’” features more of the classic Def Lep sound. Great songs and performances throughout.

As soon as you press play you feel the Huge Power of the Drums, Guitars, Bass, Joe's voice and the harmony of Def Leppard!
You are taken right in as if you were there at the concert. Def Leppard are the real deal and the 3 new songs keep building on the legacy of Def Leppard, Undefeated is a true sporting Anthem, Kings of The World will be the Anthem to the 2012 London Olympic games and It's All About Believin is Def Leppard at their very best!

Attention Def Leppard Fans - This Rocks

My very first cassette tape to play in my very first hi-fi was Pyromania. Unfortunately it's not on iTunes (yet) but this live album will definitely do! Well mixed, good edits and awesome sound. Tracks are already finding their way back to the airwaves. As live albums go....this rocks.

Formed: 1977 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

In many ways, Def Leppard were the definitive hard rock band of the '80s. There were many bands that rocked harder (and were more dangerous) than the Sheffield-based quintet, but few others captured the spirit of the times quite as well. Emerging in the late '70s as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Def Leppard actually owed more to the glam rock and metal of the early '70s, as their sound was equal parts T. Rex, Mott the Hoople, Queen, and Led Zeppelin. By toning down their heavy riffs...
