iTunes Review

The rapper's earliest work, closely tied to the sound and moment of London grime's emergence, was intentionally claustrophobic. But Dizzee expanded his reach with his third full-length, Maths + English. Houston rap pioneers UGK make an exhilarating cameo on "Where’s Da G's", which pairs Dizzee’s crisp, stabbing flow with the monochromatic sludge of Southern hip-hop, while “Flex” fuses the bubbling synths of post-millennial club music with grime’s laser-sharp beats. This is the sound of globally minded pop filtered through tightly wound futurism.

Most underrated name in Hip-Hop -

Dizzee Rascal is at his best and grimyest on his third solo album, from the dirty tech-and-lines of 'Pussyole (Old Skool)' and 'Sirens' to the floor-filler tracks like 'Flex' and the pop-laced 'Wanna Be' with Lily Allen, on which he loses none of his signature sound. Saw him at Big Day Out, as fresh and energetic in the flesh as he is on this ripper of a release. 5 Stars. $

wouldn't buy it, haven't heard of dat freak and i wish i haven't i like hip-hop but not this

Just a few months prior to winning his country's Mercury Prize -- for Boy in da Corner, his debut album -- his name was known only by his peers and devout followers of the garage scene. Though the innovative MC/producer was only 18 at the time of the album's release, there was plenty to talk about beyond his music. Born Dylan Mills, Dizzee Rascal grew up in a council estate in East London and was raised...
