Customer Reviews

five stars appropriate

I think that this is Avril's best album, far better than Best Damn Thing and more mature and sophisticated than Let Go. The blend of instruments such as the piano and guitar make the music something that even the most narrow-minded metal fan can appreciate and the un-music-educated pop fan can relate to the lyrics and the beat. I think that Avril should be really proud of this album. My favourite's are How Does it Feel, Together and Forgotten, but all the songs are amazing.

Best Album So Far!

I agree with the reviewer above me on everything, so instead of writing a long boring review that says everything that has already been said, I will simply do a review of all songs.

Take Me Away: I love this song. It really makes me think about... well, everything!
Together: Very strong feelings conveyed through this song. The tune is very good and catchy and after a while you can't help but sing along!
Don't Tell Me: A little bit strange, but I like it anyway as it gets stuck in your head and you grow to like it.
He Wasn't: Once again, a bit strange, due to the fact that the verses are really not what Avril does best. The chorus however is incredibly catchy and has a great beat!
How Does It Feel: A very good song, makes me stop and think about life. Very deep and meaningful lyrics.
My Happy Ending: I personally am not a huge fan of this song, but that is probably just me. After listening to it about ten times I got bored of it and pretty much haven't listened to it since.
Nobody's Home: This song is my personal favourite. As far as I know it is actually about depression. I really like the music video for it as well, so I recommend that you check that out.
Forgotten: Not up in my top five, I have to say. I find this song strange because most songs I can remember the tune of them easily and on this one I can't think of anything. Still though, probably just me.
Who Knows: I love this song!! It has such an awesome chorus that is guaranteed to stick in your head no matter what!
Fall To Pieces: I really like the chorus on this song. The verses are a little bit strange, but that's just my opinion.
Freak Out: Not really sure what this song is about, but I know that I like it! Its very upbeat and catchy. If you have had a bad day, try listening to this song.
Slipped Away: This song has special meaning to me, as it reminds me of my mother. It never fails to make me cry, but I love it anyway.

Well, there you go! A full review of all songs! If you like Avril Lavigne then do yourself a favour and BUY THIS ALBUM!!!

Who writes the album reviews??!

Whoever writes the album reviews seriously doesn't like avril! I don't know why, she's my hero.

Biography

Born: 27 September 1984 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada

Genre: Pop

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Avril Lavigne first appeared in summer 2002, touting an addictive debut single (the spunky pop/rock gem "Complicated") and a skatepunk image that purposely clashed with the polished glamour of mainstream pop. Lavigne, who was 17 at the time, quickly rose to teen idol status, selling several million copies of her debut album, Let Go (the best-selling album by a female artist in 2002), while inspiring a genuine fashion craze with her penchant for tank tops and neckties. As the decade progressed, so...
