Marcia Griffiths became a Jamaican reggae star in the mid-'60s, but the rest of the world wouldn't hear her reassuring voice until she harmonised behind Bob Marley as a member of the I Threes. Naturally is her definitive solo statement, an unguarded collection filled with surprising hooks ("Survival") and sneakily complex instrumentation—note how the guitar locks into the percussion on the naively affectionate "Truly". Later, she adds a bolt of energy by rerecording "Feel Like Jumping", her first big hit.
