Kate has always been a stylish unique interpretator and she has done an amazing job on these tracks to bring a fresh, mellowy jazz feel to them.

Very Musical!

Kate is so musical and she interperates the songs very well. She is extremely talented and this album is no exception to that talent

Soundtrack for your memories

What a beautiful concept for an album. This is a collection of songs Kate Ceberano listened to when her family lived at 9 Lime Avenue. Instead of straight covers, Ceberano imbues the songs and melodies with the emotions she felt during her teenage years. The change in pace works better with some tracks than others. While Raspberry Beret loses possibly a little too much of its momentum, Kate's pacier version of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face shines as she gives the song a beautiful, more hopeful feel (reminiscent of Eva Cassidy). While it may take a couple of listens to adjust to the change in tempo for such well known songs, it's a rewarding experience. Highlights are First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Roxanne, Go Your Own Way and Throw Your Arms Around Me.

Their debut (and as it transpired, only) album, Bear Witness, produced three hit singles, including "Love Don't Live Here Anymore." I'm Talking disbanded in 1987, and Ceberano released her debut solo jazz album...
