Customer Reviews

.. Artwork has nothing on the music

I don't see the point in the other review giving it one star. Aesop Rock is a prominent underground rap artist and this album is probably his most appealing yet. Would be a great place for first time listeners to start as it will quickly grow on you. Personal favourites are the title track "None Shall Pass" and "Five Fingers". One of the best hip-hop albums of 2007 and it's a shame that he is getting no attention but people like 'Soulja Boy' are. What a joke.

this a a GREAT album

Such a good mix of beats and rhymes, the words are beautiful. You can listen to it a million times and still love it.

Excellent Underground Hip-Hop

Through a use of smooth, stream of consciousness rhymes, expertly arranged beats and top quality collaborations with fellow artists, Aesop Rock creates yet another fantastic alternative hip-hop journey. A must for any fan of both Aesop Rock and the genre itself.

The former Ian Bavitz then issued a pair of singles — "Coma" and "Boom Box" — for another underground rap label paragon, Definitive Jux. His second full-length, 2001's Labor Days, earned positive reviews...
