Don't worry, the Killers will be back. This is a great interim album from Brandon. Enjoy!

Brandon's album is great. If you like the Killers, this will keep you happy... as they take a break to re-charge - Brandon has seized the opportunity to do some solo stuff.... The music is a little bit country, but still keeps the good rock sound and will be something you keep listening to, time and time again. Do yourself a favour and watch the Crossfire video clip - Charlize and Brandon would make a great couple...!

Pure genius... Not much more I can say

Brandon Flowers - killer frontman to solo star!

WOW - boy am I loving this album!

Brandon is one of the best lyricists and vocalists in modern music, and even though he has toured constantly with his Killers' bandmates for many years, Flamingo shows that he has not run out of new and innovative musical ideas.

This fun, emotional, sexy, and bombastic effort is a real rollercoaster ride!

Opening with the epic 'Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas' (his hometown), the album's themes of love, sin, longing and dreaming is set. Earl album highlights include 'Only The Young' (probably one of Brandon's strangest offerings - but it definitely works), a heart-fet 'Hard Enough' featuring Jenny Lewis before heading into 'Jilted Lovers and broken hearts' - the album's most rocking track, and my personal favorite (Killers fans will be able to draw comparisons with Mr Brightside lyrically and in its soaring synths). 'Playing with Fire' is long and brooding and fans note that this is an even better track live. "Was it something I said' and 'Magdalena' are bouncy and fun. First single 'Crossfire' is a stunning song - probably one of 2010's best - and it sounds perfect slotted in amongst the rest of Flamingo. before the record is rounded out with the gospel hymn-like 'On the floor' (religion is always present in Brandon's work!) and the bizarre and almost hilarious 'Swallow it'. The bonus tracks are worth a listen to.

Do yourself a favour, hop aboard the Brandon-wagon!

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Brandon Flowers was the most popular frontman of the new wave revival, which swept through America and England during the early 2000s. As frontman of the Killers, he helped popularize a genre that hadn't been fashionable for nearly two decades, drawing influence from a number of '80s synth pop bands — including New Order, Echo & the Bunnymen, and the Psychedelic Furs — while writing the songs that comprised his band's multi-platinum debut, Hot Fuss. Flowers also proved to be a super-sized...
