I am a looking forward to this movie alot (okay, totally obsessed...) I love all the songs! They're beautiful! I don't think I could pick a favourite from all of the soundtrack, so I'll just talk about each track separately! Opening Title: Great! Every time I listen to this I get all amped up to see sweeney todd. No Place Like London: Has a strangely calming effect on me. I listen to this alot. The Worst Pies in London: I love this song! It's great! Poor Thing: This song is pretty good, but not my favourite one. My Friends: I like this one- its a good song. Green Finch and Linnett Bird: Jayne Wisener has a really nice voice. Pretty song. Alms Alms: I like this one. Johanna: I think this is a good song, a bit short though. Pirelli's Miracle Elixir: This song is insanley catchy! I couldn't stop singing it. The Contest: Not my favourite one... but I suppose alot of people like it. Wait: This is a GREAT song. Its beautiful! I think Helena Bonham-Carter has a great singing voice. Ladies and their Sensitivities: I don't listen to this a whole lot, its okay... Pretty Women: I like this, but its a bit long for me. Epiphany: love, love, LOVE!! buy it now! A Little Priest: Love it. The lyrics make me laugh. "shepards pie peppered with actual shepard on top..." etc. Johanna: I like this one more than the first Johanna. God, That's Good!: I listen to this ALL the time. I just like it. By The Sea: I love this song. Its another great Helena one. Not While I'm Around: Its not my favourite, but still good. Final scene: Love! Okay, all in all, I'd say just do yourself a favour and buy the whole album. You won't regret it!

My goodness, definatly one of the best soundtracks to a movie ever made. the movie on its own is astonishing but the music is something else. Pirelli's miricle elixer is very clever, the worst pies in london is comical but also meaningful. Green finch and linnet bird is amazing, what a voice and a great tune. A little priest is remarkable with such amazing lyrics and epiphany is great. opening theme is great too. but nothing cmpares to not while im around, that boy has such a beautiful voice. i definatly recomend this album. best iv heard in a while.

Best Motion Picture Soundtrack

I've seen the movie and the music was brilliant! I couldn't stop singing after seeing the movie. I just had to buy the whole soundtrack because i just loved the music so much. My favourite songs from this soundtrack are By The Sea, Empiphany, The Worst Pies In London, A Little Priest and The Final Scene. I think Johnny Depp was actually good at singing. I thought Helena Bonham Carter's voice was so clear and very good. I reccomend it to everyone but especially to the people who love musicals or dark musicals. Best soundtrack i've ever heard!

Stephen Sondheim was the most highly regarded composer/lyricist for the musical theater in his generation. Having his first musical produced on Broadway in 1957 and his 14th in 1994, he straddled two eras. The broadly popular musical theater of his early years gradually became a more insular art form, addressing a smaller, more dedicated, more serious audience. This jibed perfectly with the composer's own tendencies. In a sense, he was to the world of show tunes what Bob Dylan was to that of pop...
