iTunes Review

Bangarang saw Skrillex home in on his wonky, pitched-up dubstep vision. A more polished recording than his breakthrough EP, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, it wastes no time, immediately going for gut-level adrenaline blasts. “Right In” bangs hard out of the gate, while “Right on Time” works synth blips and rattling percussion into an irresistible, frenetic firestorm. And there's no better manifesto for Skrillex’s cab-shaking, sugar-addled vision than the churning samples and pogoing energy of the title track.

Customer Reviews

An artist, aswell as a musician :)

Skrillex has done an a amazing job with this album. His tracks show so much chemistry and emotion and really takes you on an electronic journey when listening to them. Has really hit the nail on the head with these tracks, especially with the build ups and the drops. Well worth buying :)

Awesome!

Finally available on iTunes Australia!! Love the album!

Very diverse character

Skrillex is completely original. This new album I have thoroughly looked over, and whilst it is not as good as his previous stuff, the originality is 5 stars. There is only one problem - why release classical music in a dance album?

On each song: right in is fabulous. It is, sadly, skrillex's only sole piece of music - every other track is with someone else. Bangarang is an instant danceatron. Nuff said. In breaking a sweat, 'thats good gets really annoying, along with the modulating synth wobbling up and down. The devil is not filthy, and typical wgartner. Right on time is he problem with this album: it is nothing in the world of skrillex dubstep. Kyoto is simple rock. Good to listen to. And I personally love the last track, but only because I'm a classical musician.

If skrillex's aim was to create music that people love to dance to, I personally think he has failed. But otherwise, the music is absolutely terrific to listen to.

Sonny Moore found club and mainstream stardom beginning in 2008, when he swapped his gig as the frontman in post-hardcore band From First to Last for the dancefloor-oriented project Skrillex. He originally used the name for live DJ sets, but in 2009 the project moved into the studio with Skrillex remixing the likes of Lady Gaga ("Bad Romance") and Snoop Dogg ("Sensual Seduction"). In 2010, the self-released digital download EP My Name Is Skrillex appeared, combining the Benny Benassi and Deadmau5...
