Mature and accomplished

Wow, Van She have returned with a mature and accomplished follow up to V. Littered with catchy percussive slices of electronic pop. Probably a slow builder for the next summer soundtrack must have. Mix this up with Cut Copy's Zonoscope and you have a great double act. Love it!

Best Work

Easily their best work ever. So many good songs to name, but "Jamaica" can't exit my head.

Solid Album

Great second album, much better than the first. Although I would've held out until summer to release this one.

The Aussie dance-rock act Van She formed in 2005 in the Sydney suburb of Bankstown. Each member of the band -- Michael Di Francesco (synths), Tomek Archer (drums), Nick Routledge (vocals/guitar), and Matt Van Schie (bass) -- had responded to an ad in Sydney's Drum Media magazine and arrived at an audition for a vocalist for a doom metal band with influences such as Sepultura, Entombed, Black Skull -- and Phil Collins.
