Excellent, if only they got more exposure in Oz...

These guys have been going for a few years now, and this is by far their best work to date. If you're looking for a rock album with a good sound, along with a few softer tracks, this is the one. Also keep your eye out for a single that missed the cut on the album called Junkies for Fame, it's a great track, and hopefully might make its way onto the Australian iTunes store. Now, if only someone would play them on radio over here...

Best rock album of 2008

I listen to alot of rock/alternative artists on the itunes site. This is hands down the best album i have heard in a very long time. Every song is killer, and if you can get your hands on the special edition version with 3 extra tracks those too are certainly no fillers. I would love too hear these guys get publicity in Australia. This still has the similar themed rock ballads as there previous stuff but better. But the rock tracks have really upped the anty to the previous stuff. The riffs are heavier, the beat is faster, Overall its more hard edged. In short it is pure quality. Devour, Sound of Madness are the stand out rockers for me. With What A Shame as the supreme rock ballad. Look out for "Energy" on the special edition version. Top track. Should have been in the main album.

Best album of the century

I love shinedown's album 'sound of madness' every single song from the top is a hell of a song. The may be a band that has only been around for a couple of years now but there good and there is no doubt about that. From my perspective this is the band's best album yet.
