Customer Reviews

Very, very good album.

I first heard Hugh perform on Dancing With The Stars, and to be honest I was quite skeptical. He didn't impress me very much.

On the launch of 7TWO, I saw his new single 'All About Me', and I decided to give the youngster a chance. Since then he has kept on impressing me, and now he has released an album with some songs (if given a chance) sure to be hits.

Speak Love, One, Higher Love, Alright, Your Love, There She Goes, Never Let You Go and even his take on 'Short Skirt, Long Jacket' are all highlights of this deluxe compliation of wondeful songs. Nothing Hurts Like Love gives us an insight to his pitch perfect voice, while Speak Love and Never Let You Go gives an opportunity to experience his writing technique.

Personally, my favoutire would have to be One, a song that should be popular with the kids given its upbeat lyrics and catchy chorus.

Overall, its a very, very good album, which I encourage all to purchase/listen and give Hugh another chance.

I look forward to your future works Hugh, five stars.

"I Know, He Knows, We're Gonna Be Alright"

Well it's better than Alright!
What a delight this album is.

Whats surprised me the most, is the songs Hugh wrote himself, are amongst the best, which is extremely refreshing on a debut album.

Speak Love is a fantastic track, with a chorus that is crying out to be performed live with a crowd singing along, yet still manages to evoke emotion.

All About Me, i think should have been so much of a bigger hit, why it wasn't i don't know! SONY Music crank the marketing machine HARDER!!

Alright is such a gem, it is by far a highlight of the album

Do it Again is quite the funky track of the album, almost a bit of Tom Jones vocal influence!

Higher Love, well here is another highlight, and So different to the last track, its like two albums. Another fantastic chorus!

Never Let You Go, a beautiful ballad, that brings out the best of Hugh's voice. Another Highlight! This song just keeps getting better with every listen, love the production to on this track.

Perfect Mistake, for me still hasn't fully grabbed me yet. Still, Poppy Funky track

There She Goes, another great piano piece led with Hugh's fantastic underrated voice, very jazz influenced. Carl Riseley and Hugh Sheridan Duet? Please!

Your Love, for me this song is the last of preference on the album, bit of nothing for me.

Nothing Hurts Like Love, a Dianne Warren penned number. Simple, emotional ballad, takes Hugh's Voice to another level, i think he should sing higher falsetto more often!

Short Skirt, Long Jacket, why this song is on this album, i don't know, for me its a complete misfit in the style of the album. Still good Cover, just should have been a B-Side

One, well this going to be that keeps getting better and better! Lifehouse Family influence! Very Uplifting End to the album!

5 Stars overall, BRILLIANT Debut Album, from a talented Man!

Why Just Can't Throw Us Away was emitted from the final tracklisting, i dont know but a mistake. Love that song.

love it

I saw Hugh Sheridan perform "Speak Love" on Sunrise and loved it. I had heard him before but was not taken at that time. However, I absolutely love this album, it is a pity it does not get any airplay. I did not realize he is not only a talented actor but also a fantastic and inspiring musician.....good on you Hugh
