Customer Reviews

An album with big hits and many fillers.

Strange Clouds is quite a good album at first, for those who loves the pop generic song of 'So Good,' you'll love Both of Us and Chandelier. This album surprisingly has many rap tracks like the title track and Castles, but it's leaving me that this is more like pop-rap, but still good to hear though. The track, 'Out of My Mind,' I find is one of the worst tracks off the album, it lacks lyrical content, Nicki and B.o.B are rapping on a weird beat and the chorus isn't that catchy or that it doesn't make the song feel complete. I expected more of an epic collaboration. Overall, I like how he's trying to keep it rap, like a mix tape, while not going to mainstream but some of those songs fail to be a great 'rap' song and I don't see how most of these tracks fit together as an album but I give him points for many of his songs. Another thing is, besides 'So Good,' there are many upbeat songs on Strange Clouds. Overtime, I'll probably grow on this and like it.

Decent album

B.O.B has become a huge rap sensation. His sophomore album follows up on why he is that good. Good lyrics and beats and a guest features from some of the biggest names in the game.

Very good sophomore effort from B.o.B

Its hard enough to produce one amazing album, let alone two. Like his first album, be keeps the good beats and hooks but adds more to his rapping this time. The lead single, Strange Clouds is very good and he follows it up well with So Good, So Hard to Breathe and Both Of Us. The other highlights are Arena, Bombs Away, Circles, Castles & Play for Keeps, although no songs except Chandelier that I don't like. More upbeat than his first album, and more useful guest appearances.

Top Five Tracks:

1. So Good
2. Strange Clouds
3. So Hard to Breathe
4. Arena
5. Play for Keeps

Honorable mention: Both of Us, Bombs Away, Circles, Castles, Out of My Mind & Where Are You

Out of all the rap artists who emerged from Atlanta during the late 2000s, B.o.B -- who was only 17 when he signed his first major-label record deal -- was one of the most unique. His borderline eccentricity and artistic mind, belied by his music's conventional Dirty South sound, raised his stock above that of his Southern contemporaries and welcomed comparisons to OutKast (specifically, that group's offbeat half, André 3000). His commercial breakthrough came in 2010, a year in which three of his...
