Amazing!

Bring me the Horizon have taken a big step forward with their latest release, titled "Suicide Season". Moving away from their former genre, Deathcore, which Oli claimed "is on its last leg," the band started a softer approach. Despite the fact the band HAVE changed their style of music, this is absolutely no disappointment. The songs catch on a lot quicker than they did for "Count Your Blessings" (2006), and they hold a lot more origionality in every verse and chorus of every song. Guests in the album include JJ from the band Deez Nutz (contributes vocals in "Football Season is Over"), The Secret Handshake (contributes drum and string samples in "Chelsea Smile"), and Sam Carter from Architects (contributes vocals in "The Sadness Will Never End"). Bring me the Horizon's new style has produced some great and catchy songs, such as "Chelsea Smile," the album sampler put up on myspace, which is probably their best release to date, retaining its intensity but with a great synth breakdown and a catchy chorus. "The Comedown" is another greatly catchy song, and is the first single and video off the album. The introduction and choruses are great, and this song is well worth a listen. "The Sadness Will Never End" brings out Bring me the Horizon's mainstream style, with a great metal influence and vocals featuring Sam Carter. "Football Season is Over" is a great song that has the origional deathcore style at the start, then breaking into a party starter lead by JJ of Deez Nutz. Bring me the Horizon have definately moved forward with this album, proving to fans of new and old that they (still) have what it takes to wow a crowd. This album definately scores a 10/10. Fantastic effort!
