Russell in top form

Absolutely phenominal, i didnt expect this album to be as amazing as it is because it is only a solo album, but its fantastic! if your an Air Supply fanatic you will love this. you just have to listen to Beside Myself, it blew me away! Other stand out tracks for me were Broken Hearted Love, Never Say Never, Only Time will heal a Broken Heart and Find My Way out of You.

Such A Great Voice! Russell IS The Best Male Vocalist In OZ

Russell Hithcock never gets the respect for what he has done in music, even in Australia where he's from! No doubt it's down to the fact he is one half of Soft Rock AOR Band AIR SUPPLY Which people love too bag as a whimp music, which is sad because they have done some of the best ballads other bands would die for, they have turned making ballads into an art form, I wish they got just the same credit as other Soft Rock bands like America, Poco even Little River Band, Some of their 90's Albums rock more than those bands I've listed. Anyway after that rant, I'll get to this solo Album from Russell, It's his 2nd solo effort ( Come on iTunes get his classic AOR 1st Album, It's a great cd, goes for crazy money on ebay ! He had some very well known muso's play on it, it was in 1988 after all) I'm not sure who plays on this Album but the band seem good
the cd opens with such a great ballad "Never Say Never" which sounds like classic 87 Air Supply, Other top songs are "Only Time Will Heal A Broken Heart" Should be a hit single, "Eyes Of Love" Is another that would've been big in the 80's or early 90's, "Beside Myself" is a cruisey track that'll be good on a drive in the car. "Every Young Man's Dream" is pure AOR like the magic stuff Journey used to do so easy with Steve Perry, Talking about Perry, Hitchcock is on the same level vocal wise, He has that soft yet full sounding high end that has this pure strength too it, It's hard to describe, they both have a fragile style that gets stronger & stronger the higher they go, The one thing I have to question about this Album is did he record these songs & vocals around his 1st Album? Because if your'e a fan of his then you will know that sadly Russell's voice has lost alot of that high-end power & maybe because of age & over use it's become deeper, But on this Album he sounds back too his best, Just like he did in the 80's & 90's with that pure silky angelic voice with high end strength. A Great New Album.
