Great songs but…..

I remember seeing the Dirt play a lot of these songs live heavily prior to rock stars being recorded/released at the time they seemed to have so much great new songs and it was an exciting time, however on first listen to Rock stars, disappointment hit strong much of the magic that these songs had live either got lost or heavily diluted which is sad as songs like "Pace it" "smoulder" were amazing like best songs ever.

I really feel it was a real turning point for Magic Dirt, perhaps for them a now or never time, signing with a major label i really feel affected the outcome of this album, sure its still good, but if they just played what they wanted to rather than trying to keep everyone else happy i think this album would have been there best ever and a five star album rather than a three star album.

I always wonder what this album would be like if they had recorded what the songs really were instead of trying to mould them into a 3 minute chorus verse chorus need a hit for JJJ thing.

Classic

Australian rock classic.
A must have for any music collection.
