Amazing Soundtrack!

This is an astonishing soundtrack, and it made such an impact of comic book movie soundtracks for years to come! How many movies have tried to sound as good as BATMAN! From the Batman theme through to the Final Confrontation, this soundtrack is a lot of fun to listen to! And it's so cool it's on iTunes ... I only had a cassette copy and was too cheap to shell out the $32 for the CD.

A Musical Look Into The Dark World Of Batman

This score, by Danny Elfman, is a truly perfect part of Tim Burton's 1989 film Batman. Starting off with the rousing "Batman Theme", we move through the action tracks like "First Confrontation", "Clown Attack" and "Batman To The Rescue" to quiet themes of love and loss in "Flowers" and "Childhood Remembered". The truly standout part of Danny Elfman's score lies in the theme for The Joker. Missing a track of it's own, the Joker's twisted waltz pervades several other tracks like "Kitchen, Surgery, Face Off" before hitting a grand peak in "Waltz to the Death". Other favourites include The Joker's warped love song for Vicki Vale in "Beautiful Dreamer", the epic "Up The Cathedral" and the mysterious choral piece "Descent Into Mystery".
