Very disappointing

Trying to capture the nostalgia of my childhood and fond memories of my mother, I jumped in too early buying this album after previewing only a few songs.

The songs are too far removed from the original recordings due to a) The album consisting of what seems like very recent recordings (ie. the Bachelors sound 'past it'), and b) overzealous digital remastering.

This album does the Bachelors an injustice and has no nostalgic value whatsoever. Some songs are such painfully poor renditions, they were binned prior to my deletion of the whole album a few weeks later.

I recommend earlier versions of your favourite Bachelors songs (found sprinkled amongst their other albums). Don't buy this one.

They signed to Decca Records in the U.K. and changed their name in 1962, then scored their first hit, "Charmaine" (number six, 1963). Their biggest hit was "Diane"...
